Some years ago I had the goal of painting 100 portraits. I posted a notice in Craigslist offering to paint a person's portrait. And what did I offer them? Simple - the painting. I also contacted the Julliard School of Music and they posted the same notice for me. Notice the two paintings of their musicians. Years later I wound up taking lessons from that same guitar player and he used that painting on his promotional materials.
